Maybe I will...

Probably at some point I've mentioned here that my kids are Jonas Brothers FREAKS...yes, yes they are. Sad but true. So...as I've also mentioned, I had to drive them to target to purchase the CD the day it came out in case it sold out before they owned it. Really, do CD's 'sell out'? I'm not so sure. AND, the girls have been stalking tickets on ebay to the concert in Chicago and I'm just about thinkin we're not going because it's nearly thousands of dollars for tickets (if you sit close enough to actually be able to recognize what you're seeing and not watch them on the jumbotron) -- but then...I'm hooked. The new CD is SO SO SO SO fabulous! My bff said to me today, "yeah I don't want to be one of those moms that's all crazy hooked on their kids music." Guilty. Yep, I'm one of those moms. Why is this CD the best ever? The Jonas Brothers came into their own on this one. (Am I getting paid for this excellent review?) Um definitely NOT! I digress...seriously this album is the best. At vacation bible school last night I overheard my big girl speaking with another small girl (actually taller than my big girl but younger) saying, yeah and what about da da da, can you believe how great that is? To which the small girl replied, "It's GENIUS!!!" OK, that might be a little over the top, but I must admit...I do like it.... a lot.

My faves: be be good and love bug. COME.ON.

So, I was thinking that since these tickets are not in my price range...and I have money in the bank that my mom sent me to buy the big girl a bedroom set, perhaps I'll buy Jonas Brothers tickets instead (insert here that my mom reads this blog and right now she has the angry look on her face ;) Ok, so I won't buy tickets with the bedroom money, but perhaps some reader out there who happens to have an extra 4 pack of tickets, including back stage passes would like to send them to me? Anyone? Anyone? Hello?

Hmph.

Jonas Madness

Ok, so Jonas Brothers madness has struck our house again. The Chicago ticket presale is today, and although I hadn't committed before, I did let the obsessed one Stephanie join the fan club. The problem with that is...I suppose I'll be purchasing tickets again today. The good thing is, I actually have grown to like their music, so I guess attending yet another concert won't be a bad thing! I do not enjoy traveling to the Tweeter center because it is so far away from us and the traffic is usually nuts! I, of course, have traveled there to see Kenny twice ;) I guess the apple isn't falling too far from the tree huh? So, an update...despite our joining the fan club today, the site crashed repeatedly and by the time we were able to get in (2 1/2 hours after the sale had begun) they only had yucky tickets left. Yes, that is a technical 'concert' word...yucky. So, it looks like we're ebay shopping again! Oh and by the way, in case you're wondering, the presale tickets were on sale on ebay within 15 minutes of the sale starting. Gotta love free enterprise!

I have a crazy schedule this week...15 hours yesterday, 13 today, 15 tomorrow, 14 Thurs, and 16 Friday. I believe there will be serious napping on the agenda for the weekend. Since I have a 'short' day today, I hope to catch idol tonight. We were joking the other day about a few years ago how tired I'd be if I had to work a 12 or 13 hour day! Isn't it all about what you're used to? If I worked 9 I'd have to go home and take a nap! Now when I work 9 I go home, cook and clean and do 800 other things without feeling tired at all! After graduation, I hope to join a health club and use this built up stamina to lose some weight and get fit! If I could stop by there an hour after work, I'd still be working so much less than what I am used to!

One more thing...the weather...finally 55 today. And yes, I broke out the sandals, even without a pedicure! That is on the agenda for this weekend and am hoping to get all of us a hair cut and Stephanie and I some highlights! Hello Spring!

Until next time!

Super Funnest Weekend Ever!

The concert was the best...I was a bit excited, but after I saw them, I am hooked... Really, if I was a teenage girl, I too would be crazy over these boys....as all 12,000 of them were at the concert! We definitely needed earplugs, not for the concert noise, but for the screaming girls!!! The music was great, and the atmosphere was amazing to say the least.

These are Stephanie's fabulous Jonas Mosaic Shoes... Really, I could have sold a million ok maybe 30 pair of these at the concert...I wish I would have had the lady's card because everyone was stopping Stephanie to ask, "Hey! Where'd you get those shoes?" Their pants were a hit too... There were quite a few parents there escorting their crazy young girls to the concert...some had earplugs, some sat out in the hall reading, some (like me) sang and danced along. During the concert, when I saw what a great time my girls were having...it made all the hard work I do worth while. It made me feel very proud that I could provide them with such an 'over the top' experience. Stephanie's friend Jordan came along with us. She is such a neat girl. She went to Florida with us last year, and I hadn't seen her since then, so it was nice to have her with us. Kristina had a great time too as evidenced by the ear to ear grin (with the green glowing earrings) and the enormous eyes! I won't go into the pricetag on this event, but the experience was... priceless.

Friday came and went and Saturday morning brought my last class. I hurried home after school and headed to the mall with the whole family. We haven't done that in such a long time! Kevin and Brennan had gone to the mall on Friday night (odd isn't it) and Kevin ordered him an airbrushed Narato shirt...that had to be picked up on Saturday. I'll have to put up a picture of him in his cool new shirt...we got Nina some new desperately needed shoes, and I was glad that I got her new baby phat shoes for more than 50% off. She also got some polka dotted converse that are really cute...after a bit of shopping and looking at new cars (since the car show was there) we stopped in the food court for my favorite of all time...terayaki chicken...yummmmm!!!
Sunday, we headed to church and as Brennan was off to his tournament, the girls and I went to pick up Zoe, Jason, and Ethan for a fun day at Sopora... During this event...I did observe this fashion don't that I'd like to share with you...
I can't really comment on that look. After Sopora we went for pizza at Happy Joe's. Stephanie made the kids lots of origami out of the placemats. Jason really loved his bird...
While we were eating, the boys decided to lift their shirts and show off their chests. I told them, that I don't lift my shirt cuz they'd see my fat rolls...Jason said, yeah and your boobs! To which Ethan replied....Gross! Gee, good thing I'm not the sensitive type! Despite their craziness, we had so much fun. I REALLY can't wait for spring when we can picnic outside again. They were begging me to go on a 'chicken leg picnic' the other day when it was 5 below...I said, the very first 70 degree day...you're on!

Finally, when we picked up Jason & Zoe, I commented that I was so glad to see that they had their lights up still, (they were off of course) because really it has just been too cold, snowy, rainy, icy etc. to take them down. Mark and Angie said, yeah, we're hoping no one notices... So....when we pulled up and saw this...

I nearly wet my pants! I thought for sure Mark had turned them on to mock me...(as is his sense of humor) -- but when Angie answered the door and the look of horror came over her face when I told her they were on....I knew there could only be one explanation... Jason yelled, (I did it! I did it!) Evidently, he had plugged them in before we left and the automatic timer turned them on at dusk! I'm pretty sure, everyone noticed them now!!

Until next time...

Ebay stalker

Ok, I'm feeling a bit of a rush (that Sarah & Candi can relate to) because I am currently stalking items on ebay...what you ask? TICKETS!! Yes, those wonderful tickets that are my favorite type of ebay stalking. The Kenny Chesney tickets are beginning to flow and I have no other goal this year but to be on the sand bar AT SOLDIER FIELD!!!!!! For all of you non fans, this is the standing room only section right next to the stage where you have a good chance of TOUCHING him!!! Wooohoooo. Also, for my new Jonas Brothers stalker (Stephanie) I will be making a Jonas Bros purchase on Monday. Tickets have gone down about 40 each on ebay and are almost in the reasonable range :) Sorry Stephie, no front row for you, but we'll have nice seats and most importantly you'll be there!
